At Jolene Family Winery, we’re proud to have a team of hardworking women who help keep the winery running, welcome our guests, create memorable experiences, and share what makes our little corner of Virginia so special.
Our mission has always been about more than making delicious, award-winning, handcrafted wines. It’s about creating an experience that leaves everyone feeling like family.

Meet the Women Behind Jolene Family Winery
Sandy | Owner & General Manager
Sandy is one of the people who helps keep everything at Jolene moving in the right direction. As an owner and General Manager, she takes care of so much of the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a family business running, from the day-to-day details and paperwork to making sure all the pieces come together.
Beyond all of that, Sandy brings a sweetness and warmth to Jolene that really reflects what we mean when we say we want everyone to feel like family. She cares deeply about the winery, the people who work here, and the experience we create for our guests.
Katie | Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager
Katie is a big part of what makes the tasting room feel like home. She oversees our tasting room and staff and helps make sure everything is running smoothly so that when you walk through our doors, you’re welcomed, taken care of, and ready to enjoy your time at the winery.
She is also our Wine Club Manager, overseeing our Wine Club members, helping plan special events and tastings for them, and putting together the quarterly wine club baskets.
Katie is hardworking, personable, and the kind of person who is always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed. She brings that same care and energy to both our guests and our team.
Alyx | Events Manager
There’s always something going on at Jolene, and Alyx is a big part of making it all happen. With so many different events throughout the year, she’s always planning, coordinating, and keeping things moving.
Alyx helps bring weddings, private celebrations, quarterly markets, workshops, vendor appearances, wine festivals, and so many other events to life. She works with guests, vendors, and our team to turn ideas into experiences and make sure all the little details come together.
Her kind, friendly personality makes her easy to talk to, and she has a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome from the start.
Courtney | Tasting Room Lead
You can’t spend much time in our tasting room without getting to know Courtney. She’s one of those people who makes it easy to walk in, grab a glass of wine, and feel like you’ve been coming to Jolene Family Winery forever.
As our Tasting Room Lead, Courtney helps oversee the tasting room and works closely with our guests. But what really stands out is her personality. She’s bubbly, friendly, and easy to talk to. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or one of our regulars, Courtney has a way of making you feel welcome and comfortable.
She brings so much warmth and energy to the tasting room, and we’re grateful to have her helping create the experience our guests have come to love.
Sidney | Marketing & Social Media Manager
Sidney helps tell the story of Jolene Family Winery and share what makes our winery special with both our current guests and people who haven’t discovered us yet.
As our Marketing & Social Media Manager, she keeps our guests and community updated on what’s happening at the winery while also finding new ways to introduce Jolene Family Winery to more people. From updating our website and event calendar to showcasing the winery on social media, she helps share what makes our little corner of Virginia special while finding new ways to connect with our audience and bring more people through our doors.
Her creativity helps make sure our guests get to see the people, experiences, and heart that make Jolene special.

Celebrating Women in Virginia Wine
We’re excited to celebrate these women and women throughout the Virginia wine industry as part of the new Virginia Women in Wine Tasting Pass.
The statewide trail celebrates the women helping shape Virginia wine, from winery owners and winemakers to vineyard managers, tasting room leaders, and so many others working behind the scenes.
The free mobile pass makes it easy to explore participating wineries across the Commonwealth, enjoy special offers, and learn more about the women behind Virginia’s vineyards, cellars, and tasting rooms.
As you visit participating wineries, simply check in through the pass. Visit five unique wineries to unlock your first Virginia Women in Wine glass, then visit five additional wineries to earn a second glass.
The Virginia Women in Wine Tasting Pass is available now and runs through October 1, 2027.
